The Set Top Box does all the work of tuning, decoding, sorting and sizing the digital television transmission so that a quality picture can be viewed on your television receiver.
Digital television is equal to or better than DVD quality as the pictures are processed in the same way for DVD as they are for Digital television. Ghosting and sparkles on your picture are a thing of the past.

The Set Top Box is connected between the antenna and the television set using one of the many connectors provided on the back of the Set Top Box.

Consideration as to how your television set, VCR, DVD and Set Top Box are all connected together is important in obtaining the best quality picture and sound. For example using video and audio from your Set Top Box into your VCR will give a much better recording than using the VCR by itself to record a television program.
